Alaska State Council on the Arts and the Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation (AACF) have partnered to provide a resource page related to the arts and culture sector titled Of Note on the AACF website. Silver Hand Program
The Silver Hand program helps Alaska Native artists promote their work in the marketplace and enables consumers to identify and purchase authentic Alaska Native art. The seal indicates that the artwork on which it appears is created by hand in Alaska by an individual Alaska Native artist. Only original contemporary and traditional Alaska Native artwork, not reproductions or manufactured work, may be identified and marketed with the Silver Hand seal. The Silver Hand image is protected under Alaska trademark statute and regulation and may only be used by individuals or organizations with Alaska State Council on the Arts’ explicit written permission. Join the Alaska State Council on the Arts for a grants workshop and conversation with staff from the National Endowment for the Arts!
Design Specialist Courtney Spearman will visit Anchorage on Tuesday, March 19 to share NEA grant opportunities and demystify the application process. The workshop will be offered in hybrid form: in-person for those who can meet at the Mountain View Library and online for those who would like to join remotely.Details:
