Statutes

In 2006, a collection of Alaska Statutes 14.33.200-14.33.250 were signed into law to address harassment, intimidation and bullying in all public schools. These laws require school districts to adopt a policy prohibiting bullying of any student, report any incidents resulting in suspension or expulsion for harassment, intimidation or bullying to the Department of Education and Early Development, and afford protections against reprisals for individuals to report suspected incidents to school officials.
