Alaska’s Department of Education and Early Development (DEED), in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), will host a series of school health information sessions intended for superintendents, principals, and school health leaders. The recurring sessions will focus on health considerations, answering questions from the field, and establishing a safe school environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Who: Superintendents, Principals, School Health/Nurse Leaders
When and Where: Every Tuesday, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm via Zoom
How does it work? Project ECHO creates a virtual learning network with real-time access to a team of multidisciplinary experts. Each session features a brief lecture and an interactive case or process discussion. Topics will include health considerations in opening of school during the COVID-19 pandemic and provide guidance, resources, and summarize relevant journal articles. Please submit questions for the speakers in advance.
