Data for national and state NAEP assessments are collected from the last week in January through the first week in March. Data for the national Long-Term Trend assessments are collected during the fall for age 13, during the winter for age 9, and during the spring for age 17.
	The typical NAEP Assessment Schedule remains constant across assessment years to permit an accurate measurement of change over time and to help ensure that the results are comparable. The Long-Term Trend assessment is administered three times during the school year (one administration per grade), whereas the national and state NAEP assessments are administered during winter, last week in January through the first week in March, for all three grades.
