D-shape adze with wooden, one-piece handle and steel blade. Handle extension with carved depression for thumb grip. Bottom edge of blade is beveled to sharp, curved edge. Blade is lashed to handle with heavy cotton cord. Handle is 9"L across top, 6 1/2"L across bottom. 3 1/2"H at highest point, and 1 1/2"W at widest point. Metal piece is 7 3/4"L x 1 3/4"W x 1/4"D and extends 2 3/4" beyond handle.
