ESEA Title VI Certifications
On April 3, 2025, USED sent letters to State Commissioners overseeing K-12 State Education Agencies requiring them to certify their compliance with their antidiscrimination obligations in order to continue receiving federal financial assistance.
Each school district in Alaska must submit a completed certification to the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) by Thursday, April 24, 2025. Districts can submit either the Certification letter provided by the US Department of Education or the signed FY2026 Consolidated Application Assurance Packet. This website provides transparency and accountability for the certification responses sent to DEED
