IRS seeks assistance to ensure delivery of Advance Child Tax Credit payments
The IRS began depositing Advance Child Tax Credits Payments to parents’ bank accounts on July 15. For many eligible individuals, receiving the payment required no action. However, parents with bank accounts not known to the IRS, those who have not earned enough to pay income taxes, and first-time parents of children born in 2021 may be eligible but have not received the advance payment.
The IRS has issued Toolkit for Partners to ensure eligible families are aware of and can access the benefit. The toolkit and other resources are available here.
