Next week is last opportunity to view “The Spirit Wraps Around You” display at Alaska State Museum
October 9 is the last day to see The Spirit Wraps Around You: Northern Northwest Native Textiles exhibit at the Alaska State Museum in Juneau.
The exhibit features a display of many of the oldest known Alaska Native ceremonial robes in existence.
The exhibit was developed by the State Museum working with a curatorial team of world-renowned weavers.
In addition to the robe displays, Lily Hope and Kay Parker are alternating days at the museum to demonstrate Chilkat and Ravenstail weaving.
