Students Invited to Design Artwork for 2022 Election
The Division of Elections (DOE) is offering the 2022 Election Artwork Contest. The purpose of this contest is to commemorate Alaska as more than the last frontier because with a new voting system, we are now a new frontier. More importantly, the contest also helps to educate the public about the Ranked Choice Voting system and how it works.
Winners will be featured on the covers of the 2022 Official Election Pamphlet and in special edition “I Voted” General Election stickers handed out at voting locations.
This contest is open to Alaska residents between 5 and 18 years old. Parents or legal guardians must submit all entries and sign the parental consent form.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to February 18.
Entry forms, contest rules, and parental consent forms are available on the division’s website, https://www.elections.alaska.gov/doc/2022-Elections-Art-Contest-Packet.pdf, and at any Division of Elections offices. Parents or legal guardians can submit artwork by:
Email: elections@alaska.gov
Mail: Division of Elections, PO BOX 110017, Juneau, AK 99811
In person: At any of the division’s offices
The division encourages those who may not have access to the submission methods listed here to contact the Division of Elections at 907-465-4611 so we may assist or coordinate an alternative method.
