Rural Educators: AKRISE Monthly Meetup Next Tuesday
AKRISE was created to bring together educators from small, rural schools across Alaska to collaborate and connect to improve teaching and learning. AKRISE will hold its Monthly MeetUp next Tuesday from 4:30-5:45.
The Monthly MeetUp is a virtual space to connect, share ideas, and learn from Alaska educators. There are three presentations scheduled :
- Place-Based Culturally Relevant Science Materials by Daniel Cernek – Secondary Science Teacher, Lower Yukon School District
- Self-Care Strategies for COVID Fatigue by Vicki Nishioka – Researcher, Education Northwest
- Using data for Instructional Purposes (MAPS) by Katie Chearney - Junior High & High School, Math Teacher, Lower Kuskokwim School District
