Alaska Smart Start 2020
The Alaska Smart Start Summer Virtual Summit 2020 starts next week!
The Virtual Summit invites teachers, parents, district staff, tribal leaders, community members, and education stakeholders to interact daily with expert guest speakers, network with a statewide community of learners, and collectively plan for the conditions, continuity, and capacities for learning in the upcoming school year through the recently revised Alaska Smart Start 2020: Restart & Reentry Framework Guidance for K-12 Schools.
Next Tuesday, August 4th, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anne Zink will join Commissioner Dr. Michael Johnson to kick off the month-long professional development opportunity for Alaska’s community of learners. Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in Q&A with Dr. Zink and Commissioner Johnson.
Bonus! Anthony Taylor from SME Strategy Consulting will be hosting a special pre-session on August 3rd – Executing Under Uncertainty. The special session will anchor into one of the three essential elements of effective execution: communication, goal setting, and accountability.
NEW! Educators are eligible to register for UAA credit for participation in the Virtual Summit! Interested educators must register before August 10.
