Alaska Smart Start 2020 Toolkit

DEED and DHSS are pleased to present a new resource to help navigate the 2020-2021 school year – the Alaska Smart Start 2020 Toolkit!

The toolkit is hosted on Google Drive, and is designed to support schools and districts as they plan for teaching and learning through the COVID-19 pandemic. It consists of customizable resources

that are complementary to the Alaska Smart Start 2020 Framework Guidance.

These resources have been created, reviewed, and/or assembled by DEED and DHSS staff. Included you’ll find:

• Communications templates
• Infographics and flyers
• PPE guidelines and suppliers
• Sample medical and release forms
• School mitigation checklists and resources

These resources are free and may be repurposed to meet various needs. As such, they are being disseminated as a series of Google documents that are easy to copy or download, customize, and reshare. To use a resource, simply right-click a document and select ‘Make a copy’ or ‘Download’.
