Bree’s Law Education available, training upcoming on October 19
In honor of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, DEED is pleased to announce that Bree’s Law Education, the state authored student training to support districts with the implementation of the Alaska Safe Children’s Act in grades 7-12, is available to all school districts in Alaska. This is a graded banded sexual abuse/dating violence awareness and prevention curriculum delivered via DEED’s eClassroom. While utilizing the Bree’s Law Education curriculum to satisfy the Alaska Safe Children’s Act student training requirements is not mandatory, the curriculum has been tailored by Alaskans to address Alaska’s unique needs while also incorporating nationally recognized best practices in violence prevention. Please join us on Tuesday October 19th at 3:30pm to learn more about the curriculum and how to access and utilize this newly developed resource. Register for the event here.
