Sharing Youth Messages of Hope
The Alaska DHSS Public Information Team is looking for young people in Alaska to share their stories of hope. The messages will be incorporated as part of a video collage at this year’s virtual Suicide Prevention Conference: Promoting Hope and Connectedness, Preventing Suicide in Alaska.
Try answering some or all of these questions:
- Friends and family are vital to our wellbeing. Can you tell us about a new, fun way you have found to spend time (in-person or distanced) with your loved ones during the pandemic?
- What is one activity, practice or ritual that has brought you joy and hope recently?
- What is something you want people who are doing suicide prevention work to know?
Submissions are needed by April 10 from Alaskans ages 15 to 24-years-old. Please submit either an approximately 30 second video message, a photo with an audio description, or a photo and a caption to dhss-PIT@alaska.gov.
