Statewide Alaska Developmental Profile Results
The Alaska Developmental Profile (ADP) is an observational tool administered upon school entry at kindergarten or at first grade if a child did not attend kindergarten. Public results only contain data from Kindergarten students. 1st Grade data was made available to districts in their district data files and is available upon request. Educators determine ratings for each student in 13 goals within 5 domains. The ADP covers five domains—or areas—of development and is comprised of several goal statements that express a specific expectation of what children should know, understand, and be able to do at Kindergarten Entry based upon the Alaska Early Learning Guidelines. A student is marked that they “consistently met” a goal if they are generally able to demonstrate that skill or behavior 80% or more of the time.
