Student Resources: Educators - In-Person Instruction
In-Person Instruction courses/content are intended for teacher-led delivery in a classroom or virtual setting. These courses require direct instruction and guidance. Some courses may cover complex topics making them unsuitable for independent study.

Alaska Financial Literacy: Grades 6-12
Financial literacy empowers students with the confidence and independence needed to make informed decisions and plan for the future. Videos, lesson plans, and worksheets are designed to engage students while supporting instructional goals for parents and educators. Equip students with the skills to succeed—financially and beyond.

AI Ready Skills: Grades 6-8
This credential program develops and provides students with foundational knowledge in the evolving world of Artificial Intelligence. This easy to teach program engages young learners through game-based learning.
Students learn in a series of Minecraft Education worlds and prove their skills by undertaking both formative and summative assessments including a capstone credential exam. AI Ready Skills provides students with skills for in-demand job roles, building the workforce of tomorrow, and creating economic opportunity. Credentials are aligned to CSTA, ISTE, and select global and state standards. Licenses are provided by DEED.

Code.org: Grades K - 12
Code.org provides free, classroom-ready computer science and AI curriculum, lessons, and professional learning that help students build foundational skills for an increasingly digital world. Educators at any experience level can access training and resources to introduce high-demand computing careers, teach students how AI works, and how to use AI responsibly.

Coding in Minecraft: Grades 6-12
This is a computer science credential program with supporting curriculum delivered through Minecraft Education and hosted on Azure. The pathway comprises six courses aligned to Cyber.org, CSTA, ISTE, and global and state standards. Courses immerse students in a Minecraft world to develop and prove their coding skills using MakeCode and JavaScript or Python. Credentials are awarded upon completion of each course assessment. Licenses are provided by DEED.
Courses include:

- Intermediate Coding using MakeCode
- Advanced Coding using JavaScript or Python
- Capstone Coding JavaScript Advanced & Python Advanced
- Expert Coding using JavaScript or Python

Cultural Connections to Alaska Science: Grades 4-12
Culturally responsive earth, life, and physical science curriculum developed in partnership with rural Alaska communities. Units include a wide range of support resources including a teacher’s manual, student guides, videos, Canvas courses, and vocabulary resources in both English and Alaska Native languages. The standards-aligned science content is delivered through engaging lessons and hands-on classroom activities. Cultural Connections to Alaska Science (CCAS) is an NSF DRK-12 (#2201324) funded project.

Alaska Safe Children’s Act: Grades 7-12
eLearning course includes requirements for Bree’s Law and Erin’s Law and is designed to help prevent childhood sexual abuse and teen dating abuse. This course covers complex topics making it unsuitable for independent study.
