Perkins V in Alaska

The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21^st Century Act (referred to as Perkins V) is the reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006. The Department of Education & Early Development (DEED) is currently facilitating the transition to Perkins V. The CTE team at DEED is working to reimagine how districts can provide high-quality CTE programs that focus on improving the academic and technical achievement of CTE students that connect to postsecondary opportunities and supports local, regional, and state labor market needs.
